Thanks everyone for the kind words! There is a strong possibility of imbibition in my immediate future.

Today, I am wrangling content for a new robweychert.com, which is scheduled for launch 10/10 or 10/11. It’s going to be a busy week.

Done. It’s not optimized for this pixel resolution, but the vector is finalized. Since the last version:

1. The bowl of the R has gotten a tiny bit shorter, so the counter’s height corresponds to that of the bottom of the stem.
2. The initials sit just a bit larger inside the circle, and they’re cheated a smidge above the actual center to align with the optical center (per Travis’s comment).

Locked up. I may still get more OCD about the R’s proportions (the height of the bowl is still somewhat arbitrary, for example). But I also may not.

My lack of a logo, though not really a liability, has been gnawing at me for years. So I started doing some sketches today, and before long I had a rougher version of what you see here. A little project I've wanted to do for a long, long time is finally starting to come together.

I knew something wasn't quite right about the last iteration, and it had to do with the wingy things on the sides, which felt oddly arbitrary. When I showed it to my partner in crime, she said, "Where's the hammer?" Boom.

Thanks again to everyone for all the great feedback. After many iterations, this might be the one. I'm gonna see how it sits for a few days. Continued feedback is welcome in the meantime.

These are variations on a logo for my famed air guitar persona. I think it's close, but not quite there. I've spent a lot of time fussing with the stroke modulation to strike the right tone and balance, and it's time to step back and get some more eyes on it.

2. Heavy metal and D&D (somewhere between vaguely and overtly)
