Scratch that Facebook chess complaint. Chess.com is now integrated with the FB app, and the frame I saw was a transition hiccup.
Oh, cute, now the Chess app on Facebook just loads Chess.com in a scrolltastic frame. What an excellent idea.
UI customization hacks aren’t usually my thing, but if there’s a way around iOS 4’s icky folder icon system, I’m in.
If it's not an Xlerator or Dyson Airblade, I'll just use my pants, thanks.
Restrained myself from purposely startling a fellow cyclist into dropping his phone. Can't decide if that's success or failure.
Watched The House of the Devil. Considered voting it most boring horror film ever. Learned Ti West also made Trigger Man. Calling it a draw.
Finally saw Altered States. It was like early Cronenberg with Hollywood money, and a studio mandate that the ending be flubbed hard.
Dude. Kid. The train has stopped again for the same reason as the other fifty times it stopped in the last five minutes. Give it a rest.

My Designing Obama book arrived today. I can't wait to look at it after I'm done smelling it.

"They're real lilypads! Like what you see when you play the game at the boardwalk!" — @ChamberMonster
My iPhone now has a huge crack in its screen. This is the kind of thing that's only supposed to happen to other people.
The Weekend

Maybe I would be more interested in sports if it were possible for sportscasters to ever stop talking.
Overheard: "Can you believe he pulled that chick? She was deece."

Sobering ride home. Adolescent power fantasy about introducing that brazen BMX dipshit to the business end of my U-lock.
Wait, people still go to the Google home page?
Offering an open invitation for the Westboro Baptist Church to picket my funeral when I die. No joke, I'd consider it a badge of honor.

As far as I can tell, the Get Mail button in Mail.app is the equivalent of a crosswalk button at a traffic light. Total placebo.
Finished Alan Wake. Its hype-to-delivery ratio is one of the most staggering I've ever seen. What a waste of time.
The shape of Chicago looks like Lyle Lovett in profile.
Sunday morning medicine courtesy of Gillian Welch.
Conan tour bus. All-nighter. Shit is crazy. Next stop: Sleep.
The only way to improve a visit from @trammell is to include a visit from @ConanOBrien.
My #firstconcert was Lollapalooza ’92 (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Lush).

Today I learned that Auntie Anne's is in the business of selling sticks of butter with emaciated pretzels inside them.
A sleepless red eye flight proved the perfect environment to finally spend some quality time with The National. Consider me convinced.
