The Human Printer: CMYK by hand
I was blown away by this until I learned that they’re just doing separations in Photoshop and tracing them. Still kinda cool.

Bromst
Whatever the question, a Smart Playlist is the answer.
Music: Random Rules: Air Guitar Champion Hot Lixx Hulahan
I fucking love this guy.
The theatrical audience experience of The Room was everything I was promised. Ineptitude of this caliber deserves its fanatics. Count me in.
Comfortably seated in Coolidge Corner Theatre, moments away from finally seeing The Room. Overheard: "I'll reimburse you for the spoons."
The difficulty of devising a truly imaginative, poetically just fate for Saturday Morning Bandsaw Guy makes him a cunning figure indeed.
Pondering the qualitative differences between doing something because you want to and doing it because many other people want you to.
Music: Primer: Heavy metal
This is a good, broad introduction to heavy metal in all its shades, for anyone who’s interested.
Notwithstanding his controversial latter years, the world is a less wonderful place without Michael Jackson in it. Rest in peace, Michael.
A different wavelength
This isn’t too close to home, this IS home.
Video from my performance last week with my a capella brothers in Megabreath (apologies for the poor audio): youtube.com/watch?v=ASONIYXRN…

Guitar Hero 5 box art revealed, includes no guitars
If this is in fact the final box art (and I’m really skeptical that it is), this is some seriously half-assed shit. Ordinarily I’m a fan of understatement in design, but everything about this is awkward: the composition, the wording of the new features, and especially the reworked logo (which I know IS final), complete with phoney-baloney Photoshop spray-paint effect. I feel pretty confident that my obvious bias barely factors into my opinion on this.… See more →
Number 2 is the most prescient of McDonald's Extra Value Meals.
Sitting in the lobby of the Marriott Copley Place, trying to round up AEA people for some lunch.
Puberteam
I love when Sutter does geometric stuff like this. I hope he keeps developing this style and plays more with line thickness and contrast.
Considering getting a tattoo that says, "Malt liquor is just never a good idea."
If you didn't perform an a capella version of Megadeth's "Peace Sells" in front of 300+ coworkers at lunch today, you really missed out.
Learning a whole bunch of songs I just realized I need to know for the mocap audition I'm doing in two hours. This should be interesting.
Drinking Yoo-Hoo and eating Dunkaroos. You do 4:20 your way and I'll do it mine.
The air once thick with facial hair is now thick with betrayal. First @essl, now @JasonKendall. Who's next to leave the bearded brotherhood?
What would you do with sixty square pixels (10x6) and between three and six colors?
They Might Be Giants
They Might Be Giants are great, but there’s not enough snark in the solar system to adequately describe their audience.
Why is the world in love again? Why are we marching hand in hand? Why are the ocean levels rising up? Tonight I'll find out.
Ordinarily, I try to be mindful of my neighbors when playing Rock Band drums at home, but all bets are off with Iron Maiden.
It took him a long time to find images he liked
If this is real, it is officially the best thing I have ever seen.
Trying to find YouTube videos of last night's Faith No More show in London that don't look and sound like complete shit.
Streaming tracks from the new Tortoise record coming out this month (trts.com), battling the logistics of seeing them this summer.
Thankful for my selective capacity for melodrama.
Philadelphia is losing in “Parking Wars”
I love Philly, and I’ve never seen "Parking Wars," but from what I gather, it’s 100% accurate.
Oh, Mr. Raimi, you don't always deliver, but when you do, you bring more than I ordered, and your actors pick up the bill.

Bottomless Belly Button
The one time I want to use a book's endpapers for notes, the content is printed cover to cover.
Once again, the roller derby and anvil tossing club are double-booked in the apartment upstairs.
Shadow Complex: Metroid meets Contra and HAS A BABY
I was never all that into Metroid, but the Contra aspect of this looks like fun, especially since it’s a side-scroller. I’m beginning to think the limited scope of XBLA games is more appealing to me than the sprawl of most disc games, probably because I’m old.
Just when I think I'm all out of ideas, I find a new way to crack my knuckles.
People who like to laugh should pick up @mSutters's new book, Son of Picnic Mtn (lulu.com/content/paperback-bo…), featuring this gem: inkfinger.us/my_weblog/2006/0…
Thanks all for the birthday wishes. In a few more months, I will have outlived Jesus. Take that, Jesus!
Almost every mass market hit song is written in the second person for an ostensibly intimate audience of one. I call bullshit.

Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, along with Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia
Finally you can see exactly how difficult it has been for me to keep quiet about this game. Set mind to "blown."

2009 air guitar lessons: 1. Sometimes it makes sense to offer more Rob and less Windhammer. 2. Studded belt plus windmills equals ouch.
